Welcome to Knowvale. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. Please read them. If you don’t agree, don’t use Knowvale.
1. Who can use Knowvale
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you confirm that a parent or guardian permits you to use the service. We may suspend accounts that we reasonably believe belong to someone under 13.
2. Your account
You’re responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account. Give us accurate information (including your date of birth and country, which we use to set your school year and curriculum). Don’t share your login.
3. Your content and materials
You keep ownership of the materials you upload — notes, PDFs, images, recordings and links. You grant us a limited licence to store and process them solely to provide the service to you: extracting text, generating embeddings, and producing study tools (summaries, quizzes, flashcards, and so on).
You must have the right to upload what you upload, and you must not upload anything illegal, hateful, sexual involving minors, or that infringes someone else’s rights. We screen uploaded images and may refuse or remove content that breaks these rules.
4. AI-generated study tools
Knowvale uses AI to answer questions and generate study materials grounded in your uploads. AI can be wrong. Treat everything it produces as a study aid, not a source of truth — always check important facts against your real course materials. The AI & originality checker gives an estimate, not a verdict, and shouldn’t be the sole basis for any academic-integrity decision.
5. Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the service: no attempting to break security, scrape at scale, resell access, or use Knowvale to cheat in ways your school prohibits. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or the people who run it.
6. Plans and changes
Knowvale is currently free, with a generous limit on stored materials. We may introduce paid plans later; if we do, we’ll make the terms clear before you’re charged. We may update, add, or remove features over time.
7. Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost study time, or grades. Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law that can’t be waived.
8. Ending your use
You can wipe your data or stop using Knowvale at any time from Settings. We may suspend or end accounts that breach these terms.
